Massive protests that began on Independence Square in Kyiv \u200evoiced citizens&#8217; aspirations for freedom, justice, and dignity.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2013, over 20 countries around the world supported the Revolution of Dignity &#8211; \u200ecampaigns took place in Poland, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, \u200eGermany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania, \u200eNorway, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and others. Euromaidan became the largest pro-\u200eEuropean demonstration in EU history and the longest-lasting rally \u2013 it stood continuously \u200efor 92 days.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Ukraine marked a significant date &#8211; the 10th anniversary of the Day of \u200eDignity. This event is emblematic for the country and reflects many years of struggle for \u200efreedom, justice, and dignity. The Day of Dignity became a key moment in Ukraine&#8217;s history, \u200eindicating the strength of the national spirit and the will to build a modern, independent \u200estate.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200e&#8221;Ten years ago, we started a new chapter of the struggle. Ten years ago, Ukrainians \u200elaunched their first counteroffensive \u2013 against lawlessness, attempts to deprive us of a \u200eEuropean future, against our captivity. Year after year, step by step, we do everything to \u200eensure that the star on the EU flag, symbolizing the unity of the European nations, shines \u200ewith our star \u2013 the star of Ukraine,&#8221; said Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine.\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200e\u201cModern Ukraine is defined by its resilient struggle for dignity and independence. This \u200eis a reminder that citizens have the power to influence events and shape the future of their \u200ecountry.
