The program introduces participants to key concepts of marine ecosystems, including biodiversity at genetic, species, and ecosystem levels, while highlighting major threats such as pollution, unsustainable fishing, and ecological degradation. It also emphasizes the growing impacts of climate change on coastal communities and the importance of local adaptation and action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Running for one month, the Pre-Bootcamp will feature speakers from diverse fields, offering multidisciplinary perspectives and practical insights. This phase serves as a foundation for the upcoming three-day intensive Bootcamp in Ilimanu, Subaun, Manatuto, where participants will apply their knowledge through hands-on field activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Building on the success of its 2024 program in Vatuvou, Liqui\u00e7a, the 2026 Bootcamp expands its reach to 40 students aged 14 to 24 from various schools across Dili. The program is implemented in collaboration with Plan International Timor-Leste, with support from youth ambassador Maun Kay Olok, highlighting the importance of partnerships in addressing environmental and social challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
