Dear Working Peoples and Nations of all the World
In late December 2023, the South Africa state has filed a legal suit against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for committing a genocide and violating 1948 Genocide Convention in Gaza, Palestine. The Israeli state has killed innocent people, half of them were children, cutting off the water, food and medical supplies, and target-killing journalists, medical, and activists. Dispossess the people from their land and destruction of their home. This was a continuous 75 years of Israel colonialism, occupation and ethnic-cleansing against the Palestine people.
We, Komite Esperansa, a mass-based popular educational movement in Timor-Leste call on the Timor-Leste state to support and join the legal suit against the Israel state in ICJ. We call for global south countries to back and support this legal proceedings against Israel’s Genocidal’ acts against Palestinian people in ICJ.
We condemn the continuing massive bombardment and genocide committed by Israel state supported by Western states against the Palestinian people in Gaza strip. We support the Palestinian people’s right to defend and resist. Their right to self-determination, independence, and nation-statehood. And we condemn the Zionist Israel project of settler colonialism, military occupation and ethnic-cleansing against Palestinian people.
We call on the immediate ceasefire!
